This wasn't a publicly used vehicle where the driver was some random slob ignoring safety protocols. It was a test vehicle with a test engineer in the driver's seat ... ignoring safety protocols.

Can't speak to the details of the programming, but I think everyone involved is in agreement that there was a failure.

NO ONE is saying that these things are ready for prime-time yet.
