It appears they have been doing this for a while


The past couple of months on the MLB.TV app when the game goes to commercial an ad for a race weekend at Virginia International Raceway comes on. I'm pretty sure that this is one of the things ESPN has implemented after acquiring control of BAM Tech because before, there would just be a placecard that would say "The Game Is In Commerical Break" on the screen during commercials.

There were other commercial spots aired too, but I don't remember them.
