They are always on....and nobody watches

This reply applies only to football.
As a current Carroll County resident, I can say that the games are always on at the local watering holes. But nobody is watching. In my judgement, the three most popular teams are (in order) Penn State, VT, and ND. MD is fourth. There are plenty of people who would like them to be good, but they have no expectations of such, so they don't put a lot of energy into it.
If you are asking about the actual physical gameday experience, I can sum it up in one word: UGH!!!
Horrible tailgating, horrible stadium, horrible game! The people are nice enough, but they certainly aren't rabid fans. The stadium needs to be demolished and something inviting built in it's place. FedEx field would be a better venue, and that is the ultimate insult for a stadium. Only good thing, is that they are serving beer everywhere in the stadium now. But I think that fact underscores how poor the gameday experience really is there.
One positive is that parking is easy (since nobody goes to the games). And if it isn't Penn State or somebody like that, you can "score" a ticket on Stubhub for $5.00 or so. If you want to waste your time.
After this rant, I should comment that I love going to Navy games in Annapolis. (And VT games anywhere).
