USC got Snoop, Warren G, Will Ferrell, etc back in the day...for "free".


Under Pete Carroll. They would simply show up at practices. I know the Bama and Clemson thing is a little different though.

Personally, I'd want someone like an Eric Thomas, Tom Bilyeu, Ed Mylett, etc to speak to my team if I were coach... but that's just me.
