Realignment since UNL was invited to the Big Ten that is
Realigment has been going on for over a century but I get the gist of what you're saying. I always respected the UNL program and would love to see someone contend with Wisconsin for a change. As for the 12 teams on your list, I don't think any of them ever won their conference since recent realignment except for maybe TCU (maybe Utah????)
Tech is 132-55 (.706) overall and 80-32 (.714) in conference play since joining the ACC in 2004. Tech won the ACC 5 times since 2004, winning the Coastal 6 times and coming in 2nd in the Coastal 4 other times. Tech also had 10 top-25 finishes with 4 of those being top-10. If you're looking for the strongest conference acquisition since the whilwind of expansion since 2004, look no farther than Virginia Tech. But if you go back to the early 1990s, I think FSU and PSU are probably better. It'd be interesting to run their numbers, as well as Miami and BC's since they joined the ACC. Since the 90s, I think Tech is in very good company considering Swofford almost whiffed at us in exchange for the private school block of UM, BC and SU.
I didn't realize WVU had performed that poorly in the Big XII. I hope that turns around for them soon.
