I suspect there will be a lot of posturing from all sides as we get closer

to the current contract's expiration date. It will be interesting to see how the dust settles and how "happy" each party is with whatever it gets in the next chapter of this saga.

I found this article which compared the TV ratings for last year's FCS National Championship Game to other FCS games and other sports. I found it interesting that the 2016 FCS National Championship Game (JMU vs. Youngstown State), the 2017 Figure Skating Championship on NBC, the 2016 FCS quarterfinal matchup NDSU vs. South Dakota State, the 2015 FCS quarterfinal matchup NDSU vs. Northern Iowa, and the 2013 regular season game NDSU vs. K-State on Fox Sports 1 outdrew last year's FCS National Championship Game.
