....and this sounds like Scientology/ Planet-X/ Illuminati conspiracy-level stuff, but there's actually a place here in Raleigh (called "Fiction Kitchen") that serves Vegetarian Bar-B-Q that's worth keeping in your gut and digesting (as opposed to projectile-vomiting it back in the server's general direction). [Really, it was quite good].

Note: I went there with my daughter, who was a Vegetarian for 7 years. She's now a Pescatarian (I'm hoping that she'll eventually become a Nazarene b/c I hate card-carrying porcine-eschewing Calvinists).
