Will agree with you 100% and have said that for years!

OL play is the vehicle to the running game and passing game and how well our offense performs! A solid RB who’s maybe not a 4 or 5 star can can be successful with a solid OL and then there is the passing game. If your QB isn’t going to have time to pass the ball and his receivers have time to get open our passing game will not be successful. Just my opinion based on watching years of football. Sure a shifty, fast, elusive RB can make a lot on their own like a David Wilson, but a solid OL can make him all world and an average RB look like an All American.

I know it’s high school but every year, Salem HS in Salem Va had decent kids at RB, not P5 level recruits. But they ALWAYS have solid OL play and that makes their offense go and one of the best year after year after year. They do it with consistent and solid OL play each year. It’s not because they have a lot of P5 talent at RB, QB, and WR. Their line can always block! Great strength and conditioning especially at OL.

We have got to get back to that mean, nasty, aggressive, physical line play like back in the day! Example, Jake Grove etc. Go Hokies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
