We picked our hikes after doing some research from Hike734.com. You can purchase a good topo map with all the Day Hikes listed with the miles and elevation gained &/or loss. He also has the List of all the Glacier Dayhikes in order of his favorites.

Highline Trail from Logan Pass is the top Trail. You do not have to hike all 11.4 miles to experience the fantastic views, they start at the beginning. Get there early if you want a parking spot at Logan Pass (before 8:30) or use the shuttles.

Also at Logan Pass is Hidden Lake Trail to the overlook. Looks of steps, but a beautiful view of the lake.

The trails to the falls are relatively easy, just get to the parking spots early or again, use the shuttles.

Avalanche Lake was a top hike but we did not do that one. 4.6 miles & -/+ 600’ elevation changes.

Dayhiking can be easy or hard. We prepare and do the hard hikes. But, if things start getting too difficult, just turn around. Get good boots, make sure you have plenty of toe room. And a good set of trekking poles is a must. Back packs with food and water, fruit, band aides, sun screen, bug spray, and the camerayou are ready. Start off easy, and in a few years, you’ll be doing the big hikes as well. HAVE FUN!
