I wouldn't buy a helmet online if you've never had one. Best to go to a


bike shop so they can make sure you are properly fitted, and know how to wear it (i.e. straps have to be tight enough, helmet sitting on top of your head, not pushed back). You may be able to save a couple bucks online, but considering the helmet may save your life, you want to make sure you get it right. Two things you don't want to skimp on: helmets and bike shorts protect the two most important parts of your body.
