The hotel is beautiful, and its less then a five minute walk to JMU's tiny football stadium. Virginia Tech of course owns the Hotel Roanoke. But given the extreme lack of hotel space in Blacksburg, Tech could make a killing with an on-campus hotel. JMU is encouraging students to stay there when they come to orientation (we did). Its only a small piece of the puzzle. But with the extreme lack of hotel space in Blacksburg, and the fact that most of the space is mediocre, a new hotel on the new campus would be a wise addition IMO.
