Anyone have post-surgery recovery go sideways on them?

About nine weeks ago, I had shoulder surgery. Shoulder was bothering me a lot, interfering particularly with anything remotely athletic I tried to do. Doc ordered an MRI and found the ridge on the shoulder blade was impinging on the tendons. They said it basically would never get better without surgery.

Fine, surgery it is.

Since it was nothing more than removing an impingement (no repair, no tendon damage), it should have been a simple case of have the surgery, wait for the swelling to go down, then get back to life.

But somewhere along the way, things went pear-shaped. Perpetual moderate pain plus excruciating pain first thing in the morning. I figure I've got maybe 50% use of my right arm. Based on what I was told before the surgery, I should be darned close to normal by now. But not only is it awful, there is zero week-to-week improvement. This $h!+ is getting old and I'd call the surgery an unqualified disaster at this point.

Followup with the surgeon tomorrow. Any tips for how to have the discussion so it doesn't degenerate into me calling out the doc for effing-up the surgery?
