I've kind of thought this recently with the recruiting seemingly stopped, now losing another top assistant. It has always seemed natural to me that Buzz would be committed this long to his original first full recruiting class (Clarke, Robinson, Blackshear) and after they were done all bets are off that he would remain in Blacksburg.

Then again, he could also prove us wrong and suddenly start bringing in some blockbuster recruits and assistant coach. Its difficult to really know in a program where so little information seems to ever get out.

The one thing I continue to feel good about is that when he does leave that we have a competent AD who is committed to the basketball program who will be ready with a blockbuster replacement to start the rebuild quickly and effectively. Maybe this time with the luxury of selling the program to a coach who is looking for a longer term stint than Buzz was. But Buzz was a great hire for what we needed at that time.
