That Kanye song is nowhere near as similar to This is America


as American Pharaoh. But I can see how they might be building off each other. I think there is more to it.... like Gambino honestly didn't know about American Pharaoh, but the guys who wrote it for him did, and went with it. I guess it really doesn't matter though, as the two artists seem to be "Meh" about the whole thing. IMO, American Pharaoh is much better though.
