VT dodged the Texas A&M bullet this season, but the fact of the matter is that Billy Kennedy will be stepping down at some point for health reasons. At that time, Buzz is the logical choice.

Now for some positives

Buzz needs a strong season here to make hiring him the best choice and something the fan base can rally behind

Buzz has shown you can put together a winner in Blacksburg, and the roster situation will be favorable to a new coach depending on a few key components
