Swofford's biggest mistake was not punishing UNC for cheating scandal.

I don't think any objective mind thinks that wasn't about cheating for athletes. That said, he was caught between a rock and a hard place. If the Commissioner had been from any other University, it would have been handled differently in my opinion.

As far as the other two schools that went with Miami, that was no one other than Donna Shalala. She insisted on Syracuse and BC for the ACC to get Miami. She got out maneuvered by Bill Goodwin, John Casteen, Mark Warner and George Allen.

WVU unfortunately out maneuvered Louisville to the Big 12 or they would already be in the ACC. They of course could not get out of the GOR. FSU and Clemson wanted a football school and Louisville was the highest player available in the draft. UConn is considered a basketball school and Clemson and FSU did not want them at the voting table.

Rutgers is in a huge market, but they can't stop stumbling over themselves...even with B1G money coming in. I know people tied to Rutgers and for their sake, I hope they can find a way.
