I think Swoff is overstating the “high profile games” to ACCN
as well. If it were that simple, you’d see huge games on SECN. You don’t because of the lost ad revenue and the cable/satellite providers would not have it (they paid for X and part of X taken away). You do see some pretty decent games on SECN because of the depth of the league. If the ACC stacks conference games in the early weeks when P5s are eating cupcakes, you’d get several pretty good matchups. To kick of the channel I wouldn’t doubt they’d get bold with a couple high profile games but that is not sustainable. Basketball is another story — depth of the league will necessitate some great games going to ACCN.
