to pick to take a stand on than the walkon hill and of all the "walkons" to get in a debate over the semantics of walkon versus offer Sam Rogers would be very far down the list of ideal subjects. Not criticizing you or the other poster just hoping to offer a little more info. Sam was all state in high school both ways and for people who saw him play the general consensus was he was a player devalued due to his tweener measurables and some debate over which position he could most impact. Yes he was a walkon but, the discussion centered much more on when he might get a scholarship than if he would get a scholarship. He did all the advance work on his own and when he got to campus he was an obvious impact guy from the start in the coaches eyes. The true swiss army knife and a great kid.
