Solid explanation and post. I think we VT fans make excuses for our D when

it suits us. Can't argue how elite ACC defenses are then make injury and O excuses for the D when a common denominator Big XII beat us straight up. If memory serves me I think the O took the lead and we gave up 2 big scores to lose.
Willis also had freshman WRs his frosh year starting at KU so very similar. Actually after watching some highlights I dare say the KU receivers were better as freshmen and might be better than what we currently have. I hope JJ performs as you posted, but I am also glad we have a very physically gifted passer with 2 years of Power 5 starting experience at Q2. I am also oK with a QB throwing picks in practice if he was attempting or pushing for a big play. The key is did he learn something in film and QB coach review after and did it translate to improved practice performance. Also not all ints are always the Q's fault, as receivers do contribute so hard to speculate without having those details. Very telling of the Fu staff if they have a player or players with better physical and perhaps position IQ, but are so risk averse they go with the safer option and lesser physical abilities. I hope the spring game wasnt RW swan song and he wasted his time transferring as no matter how good we might be, Coach Fu rides his QB1 and very limited game snaps for Q2 unless something baad happens to the starter. Good summer opinions and looking forward to the season!
