SIAP: Conner spin-off


Just heard there will be a Roseanne spin-off and it might be called The Conners, but that is TBD.
ABC picked it up for 10 episodes and it will air at the same time that Roseanne did. Heard that most of the cast other than R are still in, and that R has no creative input or financial benefit.

My gut feeling is that during a routine knee operation, Roseanne dies. She was to have the operation in the last episode. So on top of all the other problems the family faces, they are also dealing with the matriarch's death etc. I think Metcalf and Goodman have the chops to make this work, provided the writing team keeps providing good material. Roseanne may have been a whack job but she was a creative genius.
