JD Mundy, former Hokie, tearing up the Valley League
JD, who we now know is transferring to Radford due to having his PT at 1B basically eliminated, is, at present, leading the Valley Baseball League in HR, RBI, and is fourth in batting average for the Covington Lumberjacks. I have also seen at least one VT player playing in the Valley, which is a break from the past. We need to see more Hokies playing in this league, as there are players from Clemson, UVA, Miami, FSU, NC State, Duke, Georgia Tech, and other ACC schools. It's always mystified me that VT has ignored what is a great summer collegiate wooden bat league. With a large number of Hokie fans and the quality of the league, it's a natural to have our players play in the Valley.
