Was ESPN the only network interested in the ACC at the time?

If so, then I wonder how much of a "choice" the ACC had as far as entering into any agreement with ESPN. If the ACC had decided to not enter into any agreement with ESPN, then what would that have meant for the Tier 3 rights? Would the lack of an agreement with any network be enough to prompt some schools to take a harder look at the possibility of joining another conference or would other things still need to happen in order to motivate the schools? If the lack of a agreement with any network was enough for Clemson and FSU to leave the ACC, then it would have been interesting to see which other ones would have left the ACC and which ones would have decided to remain in the ACC.
