The Caps can afford it they are in the top 7 or 8 in revenue in the league.


They did not want him back - they want Rierden. They tried to do it in a way to make people think they tried - obviously they did not. I hope Trotz goes to Seattle and wins Cups. Or if he wants a front office job I am sure he will be successful. Hope he doesn't go to the Islanders...most liklely he will for the availability, $, familiarity of the East, and to kick the caps butt.
