So the dog fell in the pool yesterday. He was NOT happy.
Our dog is usually a bit nutty when we're in the pool, hanging out by the sides wanting to be close to us, while NOT wanting to be in the water. I think his hound half (some breed that DOESN'T like water) overrides his Lab half (which generally DO like water).
So yesterday when I went off the diving board and yelled "Cowabunga!!", the last thing I saw before hitting the water was Chewy getting a bit too excited as he bounded towards the pool edge, and his front paws slipping past the edge.
By the time I resurfaced and cleared my eyes, we had those front paws clinging to the side as he tried to get out. Luckily, he didn't scratch the liner and we were able to boost him out fairly quickly. Fortunately the shock collar for the electronic fence didn't get shorted out and still works.
