By the time bowl season comes around, I'm happy to watch almost any college football. And some of the early bowls are the best ones. So if more bowls means more people get to take a trip and celebrate, even better. That said, once teams get there with less than a 6-6 record (and 6-6 is debatable, but there are a few good 6-6 teams each year), then the rationale starts to fall apart aside from $$$ for someone.
