True, but that OTJ shouldn't be at a major P5 school, at least not IMO.
That's why there are mid level HC jobs. Coaches go there to hone their HC skills. As they get experience and knowledge, then they can move up in the coaching world to P5 schools.
Being one of the best pitchers in women's fast pitch softball history, doesn't a head coach make. Nor does being a pitching coach at a couple of schools.
A pitching coach isn't involved in making substitutions, isn't involved in strategy, isn't involved in hitting, etc. [Post edited by Atlee Hokie at 05/31/2018 08:59AM]
