Don't be surprised if the SEC opts for the 2 permanent divisions

of 8 and play a 9 game conference schedule which would include 2 cross-division games (1 protected and 1 rotating).

Maybe even the Pac 16 if it opts for the divisions to be divided into Original Pac 8 and Expansion 8. The Pac 16 would have 2 rotating cross-division games ensuring the Expansion 8 that 1 of those games would be against a CA school and the other against 1 of the 4 Great NW schools. I suspect the Original Pac 8 would have a similar structure.

Given that the Big Ten has a couple 3 team rivalries (i.e. Wisky-Minn-Iowa), it could make things tricky to coming up with the 4 pods that everyone can agree upon.
