I'll take a stab

Quality of competition is pretty high. It is typically made up of the top recruits and stud freshman in college. Lewis for example just beat whittlake who is the #2 pound for pound highschool wrestler and will be facing Marinelli who has beaten McFadden and Joseph the 2x NCAA champ. Borst is also facing some of the top recruits in the nation.

The benefits are is freestyle experience at a high level and if they win and represent the US at worlds then that international experience will be huge for them and their development. The best guys in college wrestling right now all competed at this level.

It also benefits our recruiting if we can get these guys on national teams. While they were both pretty highly ranked recruits neither were ever a top ranked guy so showing off what kind of development our coaches are capable of is really attractive to recruits. If Lewis or Borst can represent us at worlds I have no doubt it will give our recruiting a very big boost.
