Oregon has pushed this theory to its limits, and the theory holds...


Similar to VT in years past, and moreso, Oregon is another "outsider" team pressing into the elite through lights-out coaching, but just can't get over that hump in recruiting.

Meanwhile...Clemson proves the converse, recruit in the top 10, and the championships follow shortly thereafter.
