would be recruited by a school (one who is loading up at RB) to be a slot receiver? In fact, there's a fair chance that Houston would be a slot receiver at VT too, should he come to Blacksburg (chances are low, but better than Ford at this point).

So yes, I'm convinced that PSU wants him at WR based on what I read on message boards AND common sense (they have a good number of VERY highly rated RB prospects and the kid can play both.... and may actually be a better slot prospect).
