a. I assure you more than 1% of the incoming students think they're going on to play pro ball and more than 5% would answer "why did you come to VT" with a football answer first, not an academic answer
b. While we do a good job of graduating football players, the fact that a lot get degrees and go on to non-football careers doesn't mean that the business of football is not the priority
c. I bet everyone running the football program would trade some academic success for some football success...probably not in an on-the-record interview, but in a candid chat over a beer...
