I don't have much experience with post-tensioned construction...

...but last summer I oversaw a project in a post-tensioned high rise building, and unfortunately we severed 2 out of 3 tendons in a cable while core drilling for an electrical penetration (we got set up by an inexperienced GPR tech who had not picked up on the tendon when scanning that area). I feared the repair would be incredibly involved, but it actually ended up being relatively straight forward. As is likely the case with the repair to the bridge, the logistics and accessing the repair area were the most complicated part. This slab was elevated about 20-25 feet above grade ("ground floor" level, but not slab on grade), so we had to build scaffolding below in order to access the repair.

Once accessible, the repair crew chipped out more concrete to expose the ends of the damaged tendons and then spliced in a repair section of new tendon. Then they re-tensioned everything from below, built a small form below the slab to provide adequate concrete cover below the repair (the damage occurred at the low point of the cable's travel through the slab's cross section, which is part of the reason the GPR tech. didn't see it), and patched the concrete. All together, I think the entire repair took less than 8 hours. So, hopefully the bridge repair won't take too long. Granted, there are probably a lot more tendons to repair, and the access will be more difficult, but I would think they could manage to have it completed in less than a week.

But, that's probably a very naive assumption on my part. Good luck.
