You're being intentionally obtuse now. You know exactly what "Penn State

enabled" means. It's not saying every person every associated with Penn State is guilty but you knew that. You're constructing an argument that I'm not making. There are a lot of options between "burn it to the ground" and "what good would more punishment do".

As to your last question, I'd argue the fact that there are still plenty of Penn State defenders who think the administration did nothing wrong, that Joe Pa was railroaded, that his statue should be put back up, that it's A-OK for his son to be on the board shows that the lesson was not learned. It's the exact same mindset that allowed Sandusky to continue to prey on children unabated for decades and it hasn't changed... football>everything else.

More punishments (or even just sticking to the original ones) might have helped with that (there's really no way to know now). The argument that all the "bad actors" are gone neglects the idea that there was a cultural/institutional level failure that was responsible and still exists.

Beyond that it's the fact that NCAA once again chickened out and refused to follow through with their threats. People get sick of seeing "big name" institutions getting away with stuff that would result in smaller schools getting hammered for.
