Yes - I believe I heard in the last week that....


they had more reg season wins in a 3 year stretch than any team in NBA history. That was accomplished in the mighty Western Conference.

And as for comparisons to the 80's Lakers and Celtics or the 90's Bulls, I don't know that you truly can. The rules and enforcement of them is so different today that GS would get bludgeoned if they played 20-35 years ago. Likewise, this GS team has way more athleticism, and better shooting, than any of those older teams (in the context of 2018 officiating)
