My problem is I don't really know the 'formula' for grilling it, but have

gotten good results that way on occasion. It's just inconsistent. When I have grilled, it's in the husk, but I soak the whole piece of corn in water before grilling. The water inside the husk helps steam it.

BUT...for boiling, I can consistently get good results because I know the timing, and 'boiling' is always the same temperature and timing....it doesn't depend on the particular grill, or how much the wind is blowing, etc.

Put the cleaned corn in the pot and water. Turn up heat. Once it starts boiling, let it boil for 1 minute. Turn it off and....perfect.

Now bad corn will still taste bad, but good corn comes out just fine, thanks.
