You really think Auburn didn’t care about playing UCF? You think those seniors are OK with going down in history losing that game? Seriously? Doesn’t it mean more to SEC teams? I mean, that’s their slogan. It should mean more. It should mean more to beat those “pesky” teams. Because now that they lost? They’ll always be remembered as the team that beat Bama at home but couldn’t beat UCF on a neutral field.

Auburn flat out got beat. End of discussion. If that’s how the playoffs are determined (you lose, you’re out), then the bowls are fair game too. They weren’t good enough to beat UCF at the time and place designated for both teams to face off. No excuses.
