No doubt for you.

But as somebody who grew up in the area, competed against Blacksburg High in three sports and is a big fan of track and field, any kid from the area who puts up the 100 m time he did as a freshman will garner my interest. Kids that run that fast in Virginia are supposed to be from Hampton Roads or Alexandria or somewhere else, not the New River Valley - and is a bad stereotype or the truth? Once he had a break out in the playoffs his junior season, my interest was piqued even more as a football fan. He had a pretty decent offer list these pages told me and in the vein of that dastardly (from a competitor's point of view) Sydney Snell (who still seems to have a fan club) chose the hometown team once offered. I'd like to see him do well as a Hokie and hope he and the coaches can maximize his talents. That said, 100 meter speed is not 40 meter speed is not 10 meter speed so how he does as a football player we will have to wait and see. But I'll put my money on him over anybody else Tech has right now for the 100. Beck is who he is.

Coaches, just once send him deep (against Clemson) - please!
