Also, I think confirmation plays a bit of a role in the perception ot JJ


The thought going into the season was that JJ was going to be a limited QB and that he wasn't the long term answer. He did look good early and then was less effective (confirming in the minds of many fans including my own at times that JJ was not the answer). However, what we didn't know that whole time was the extent of his injuries (which were bad). Instead we saw maybe slightly better than what we were expecting (not knowing that circumstances were even tougher than we knew) and assumed that that was the real JJ. Again, I was guilty too. Many started to see what they expected to see and assumed that it must mean they (and I) were correct. Knowing what we know now, I'm not so sure.

Also, if we get stuck in a Clemson-like game this year, I could imagine JF possibly turning to RW (or HH) and giving them a shot to see what they could do, perhaps before the game is truly "over" similar to what Saban did in the national title.
