With YouTube TV, yes. If anything, I get more sports with it than with

cable.

ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews, BTN, CPSsports, NBCsports, SECN, FoxSports, FS1, FS2, Golf, Tennis, MLB, NBA, NBCSN, YES, Olympic, and a couple more that seem to show a lot of soccer.

As for news channels, its got BBC, CNBC, CNN, Fox Business, Fox News, HLN, MSNBC, and Newsy (I think that is all the specialty news channels).

Oh, and it also comes with unlimited cloud DVR storage. The only catch with the DVR is if a show you record becomes available on-demand somewhere, your recording will get replaced with the on-demand version...which will have a few unskippable commercials.

It's got a free 7-day trial. I did that last week, watched nothing but YouTube TV to make sure I didn't feel like I was missing anything. Only weakness I could find was it doesn't have PBS, and there are some woodworking shows on PBS I like to record.

Not trying to sell it or anything, but IMHO it is a pretty killer deal for $40/mo compared to cable or satellite.

It's possible I'll hate it come football season, but I DVR'ed a NBA game just to see how it did with recording a game. Seemed fine to me.

One thing it does that I like and didn't know it was going to do is literally anything you watch, even for a minute or two, appears to get DVR'ed. I was browsing and ended up watching a couple minutes of an episode of HIMYM. There is a "continue watching?" queue that episode then went to.

And while I haven't done it yet, I guess in theory you could take a Roku stick with you when you travel and have access to your own programming anywhere there is wifi.
