All I can say is what I saw in the spring game

Willis has a very strong and accurate arm and is a pretty good sized QB. His release is very quick, kind of like Phillip Rivers, as is his throwing motion - not side-armed but not overhead, though he's not 6'5" like Rivers. He threw the best flat pass in the spring game that I've seen in 20 years at VT - floated it over the DE and landed perfectly for a really big gain - that was impressive to me. He also threw it away when there was no chance and lined up and made a play on the next one. I'm not a coach, but what I saw was a QB who is very knowledgeable, cool under pressure, and not too quick to pull it down and run. He just looks intelligent in the pocket, and his demeanor reminds me of Brady - didn't say he's the next Brady, but has the same discipline and ability to see the whole field and then make a decision.
PS: Didn't think about this before, but I mention Brady and JJ's dad coached Brady at Michigan, IIRC.
