It's not that he sucks, it's about upside, IMO


He can win 5-6 games minimum. He is a decent QB. After that, some things need to break VT's way (Bud's D playing better than expected, meltdown by opposing team, etc.) to win more games, tighter games against evenly matched (or better) teams. The criticism of JJ is that he isn't the kind of QB who *wins* you a game, all else being equal. He keeps you in it and doesn't screw up.
