Speaking of snakes Copperheads are out here in NC I was bit last week

Out in the garden, chopping leaves on my hands and knees. Guess what was in those leaves? Even after I was bit on hand, I did not see snake until it started to move because they are so well camoflauged. FYI, most effective treatment for snakebite other than antivenom is to elevate the bite above the heart, NO ICE. Want to keep the blood flowing to dissipate the venom. All fine now and hope no one ever has to use this info
