Only speculation on my part...


Perhaps they are leaving because Coach Brooks recruited over them and they could see that their playing time would not be likely to materialize.

Also, Coach Brooks must have known this for a while because it looked like he was recruiting more players than he had scholarships for. That solves the numbers issues.
