Not at all. Going across the "pond" you refuel quite frequently...........


to pretty much stay full of gas. That's so in the event that the next time you have to refuel, for whatever reason, you can't, you have enough gas to go somewhere and land on terra firma. On my flight, we refueled 9 times, 5 of which were in a 2 hour time frame, if memory serves. First refueling was 100 NM west of England, the last refueling was over Long Island. On our great circle route, our divert options were Keflavic, Iceland, or the Azores! You can guess where I was going if need be!
