Well, how else do you think USAF fighter aircraft get across the "pond"....


and secondly to demonstrate our capability to do exactly that.

I have flown an F-4E non-stop from Ramstein AB, Germany to Seymour-Johnson AFB, NC. The flight time was 9 hours, 20 minutes! Total time from when I strapped in, till I got out of the jet was 11 hours!
