Simple game, but pitching consistently well is easier said than done

Has anybody seen what the Washington Nationals pitching staff (other than Scherzer and Stras) has been like lately? Homers and too many walks, with the occasional hit batter. Multi-million $$ pro players encounter the very same struggles with consistency as D1 ballplayers.
