Ike Charlton, 2nd round draft pick and Anthony Midget, 5th round draft pick both did not play in the 4th quarter. Those guys in the secondary were critical to our success defensively. Most people forget about these 2 being out for the 4th quarter. We also led going into the 4th quarter. FSU had 359 total yards in the game and 329 total passing yards. In the 4th quarter, FSU had 199 passing yards which was the difference in the game. I truly believe if both of those guys are healthy and play in the 4th quarter, we win the national championship. Many people remember how "FSU woke up in the 4th quarter" and VT kind of ran out of gas. Well, it wasn't that way. FSU woke up because VT lost two NFL players in the secondary for the 4th quarter. Midget was short lived with the Falcons, but he was drafted in round 5 and was a stud in college. Charlton also a beast.
