Ugh! Here's hoping you are wrong


I'm not saying you are wrong on the 20-30 teams breaking off, but I'd hate it. Even if VT was on the right side of the equation. The way things are now, I'm wishing we were back at P6 vs. P5. And, with admission of my old age, having lived though VT as an independent on the outside looking in (pre Big East), I really, really feel for fans of schools that are on the outside looking in or are on the cusp of being excluded. I may start a new thread on this topic.
I do agree that the politics would be a mess, which is why I think it won't happen. And lawsuits?
Oh yeah! What a mess! Too many states with large state schools that would be left out at that number. I could see 70 breaking off, and that would still be painful for me. I'd be great with Louisville being left out (which won't happen now that they are in ACC), but what about Cincy and Southern Miss, and others? Sorry, but these are really good schools with really good fans that were once equal peers of VT.
