Weird, smooth as silk today

as I said, a bunch of new pages showed up, it acted like it knew what I was doing, a conversion, not a re-characterization.

I don't know if it is a case of my wisely letting it sit for a while so that I could sit down fresh with this one problem instead of being tired and confused after doing the rest of the taxes.

There were definitely updates coming along at the same time, probably one of those deals where it throws you off the first time, you don't realized it's fixed the second time and you're still trying to trick it to make it work the way you think it should.

And yeah, the language thing, is well, the language thing. I may have to go back and figure exactly what happened. For one, I was messing w/the 8606 form which really has nothing to do with conversions and they always write in negative speak: "Do not enter here if this is a conversion" Well dammit, where the heck do I enter!!!!????

The third factor might be the mutual fund getting their act together on the 1099-Rs. I don't recall downloading them before.
