If Texas were to form a new conference, then who says they would have

to leave the state of Texas? They could form the SWC 2.0 among the 10 remaining FBS schools from the state; Baylor, Houston, Rice, TCU, SMU, North Texas, Texas State, Texas Tech, UTEP, and UT-San Antonio. At least I don't think I excluded anyone besides TAMU. If TAMU (or a Texas FCS school) was willing to join the conference, then the SWC 2.0 could be a 12-member conference with the CCG being played in either Jerry's World or the Alamodome.
